East Bay Chamber Announces Competition Open
Bristol, RI, March 23, 2009 -- The East Bay Chamber of Commerce today announced that applications are now being accepted for the second annual event, " RHODE ISLAND’S GOT TALENT." The competition will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Barrington High School at 7:00 pm.
The event showcases a variety of finalists chosen from the pool of qualified applicants. The winners will be selected at the event on August 15, 2009 by the panel of judges. A total of $1,750 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winners; First Place $1,000, Second Place $500 and Third Place $250.
“We were blown away by the talent in last year’s competition,” said Betty Pleacher, President, East Bay Chamber of Commerce. “We’re really looking forward to seeing this year’s entries and hosting another amazing evening in August.”
How to Enter The Contest:
Interested parties must complete an entry form and submit an application along with a non-refundable fee of $50 and a clip of the specific piece that the performer or group hopes to present at the finals. Contest Rules, deadlines and applications are available at www.rhodeislandsgottalent.com.
